Canton City issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.
The City of Canton offices will be closed on Thursday, November 14 for observation of the Thanksgiving holiday. Thursday's trash route will be picked up on Friday, along with Friday's regular route. Pick-up times may vary from the usual time, so residents are asked to have their garbage out by 7:00 am so they won't be missed.
