Report: 17.5% of Spoon River College students repaying loans are in default

Out of 234 Spoon River College students repaying loans in 2015, 41 were in default, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

That gives the two-year public school in Canton a default rate of 17.5 percent for that year – 3.3 percentage points higher than in 2014 and 0.9 points higher than in 2013.

Spoon River College had 1 more student in default in 2015 than in 2014 and 4 fewer than in 2013.
