Report: Pleasant Valley spent $8,213 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Pleasant Valley School District 62 is up 10.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $7,440 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,213 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 527 to 502.

Pleasant Valley's spending in 2017-18 was 38.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
