Report: Lowpoint Washburn spent $11,663 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Lowpoint Washburn Community Unit School District 21 is up 5.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Woodford County school district spent $11,029 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,663 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 393 to 339.

Lowpoint Washburn's spending in 2017-18 was 12.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
