Report: Washington spent $9,119 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Washington District 50 Schools is up 15.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $7,908 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,119 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 778 to 769.

Washington's spending in 2017-18 was 31.6 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
