Manhattan home prices rise in November 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in November 2017 in Manhattan rose by $83,130 while total sales increased by 13%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In November 2017, there were 26 homes sold, with a median sale price of $278,130 - a 42.6% increase over the $195,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 23 homes sold in Manhattan in November 2016.

The median sales tax in Manhattan for 2017 was $6,264.38. In 2016, the median sales tax was $5,847.80. This marks an increase of 7.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
