Canton home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Canton fell by $10,900 while total sales decreased by 3.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 60 homes sold, with a median sale price of $59,250 - a 15.5% decrease over the $70,150 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 62 homes sold in Canton in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Canton for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,673, approximately 2.8% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
