Morton home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Morton fell by $7,300 while total sales increased by 5.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 82 homes sold, with a median sale price of $169,700 - a 4.1% decrease over the $177,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 78 homes sold in Morton in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Morton for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,678, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
