Washington home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Washington fell by $31,750 while total sales increased by 33.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 91 homes sold, with a median sale price of $139,000 - a 18.6% decrease over the $170,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 68 homes sold in Washington in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Washington for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,527.40, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
