City of Belleville City Council met March 26.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Mark Eckert called this meeting to order.

Mayor Eckert explained the disaster procedures. Mayor Eckert reminded anyone speaking this evening to step up to a microphone because the meetings are being taped and posted the next day on the website.

Mayor Eckert requested City Clerk Meyer to call roll. Members present on roll call: Alderman Hazel, Alderman Kinsella, Alderwoman Pusa, Alderman Buettner, Alderman Randle, Alderman Anthony, Alderman Ovian, Alderwoman Schaefer, Alderman Dintelman, Alderman Gaa, Alderwoman Stiehl, Alderman Weygandt, Alderman Wigginton and Alderman Barfield.

Alderman Tyler and Alderman Elmore are excused.

ROLL CALL DEPARTMENT HEADS

Roll Call Department Heads: City Clerk, Jennifer Gain Meyer, City Treasurer Hardt and City Attorney Hoerner; Finance Director, Jamie Maitret; Police Chief, Bill Clay; Fire Chief, Tom Pour; City Engineer, Tim Gregowicz; Director of Maintenance, Ken Vaughn; Human Resource Director, Sherry Favre-Salvatore; Director of Parks and Recreation, Debbie Belleville; Director of Public Works, Jason Poole; Director of Wastewater, Royce Carlisle; Interim Director of Residential and Commercial Development Services and Economic Development, Annissa McCaskill; Director of Library, Leander Spearman are excused.

Mayor led the Pledge of Allegiance.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

Alderwoman Schaefer made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Pusa to approve medical, dental, vision, and life insurance carriers, as recommended by staff and our insurance broker.

Discussion.

Alderman Gaa asked the cost with staying with IPMG; Finance Director, Jamie Maitret, advised there would have been a 20% increase to employees.

Members voting aye on roll call: Hazel, Kinsella, Pusa, Buettner, Randle, Anthony, Ovian, Schaefer, Dintelman, Gaa, Stiehl, Weygandt, Wigginton, Barfield. ( 14)

ADJOURNMENT

Alderman Wigginton made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Stiehl to adjourn at 6:05 pm.

All members voted aye.
