Two intersections along Jefferson Avenue have recently seen the completion of sidewalk work as part of the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way Conversion Project. The finished areas include Fulton Plaza, located between 120 SW Jefferson Avenue and 331 Fulton Street, and the southeast corner of NE Jefferson Avenue and Fayette Street near 200 NE Jefferson Avenue.
Ongoing sidewalk work continues at two other locations: the southwest corner of Main Street and SW Jefferson Avenue near 333 Main Street, and the southeast corner of NE Jefferson Avenue and Hamilton Boulevard near 318 Hamilton Boulevard.
Pedestrians are advised to use caution in these areas when sidewalks are closed and should cross streets at nearby intersections. Drivers are reminded to observe on-street parking restrictions, looking for unbagged meters for available parking. If meters display "No Parking" signs, those spots should be avoided.
As the conversion project progresses, additional restrictions related to parking, lanes, and sidewalks will be announced. Drivers are urged to remain vigilant around workers in these zones and heed no-parking warnings while exercising extra caution.
