Washington home prices rise in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Washington rose by $34,800 while total sales decreased by 5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were 19 homes sold, with a median sale price of $176,500 - a 24.6% increase over the $141,700 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 20 homes sold in Washington in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Washington for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,527, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for January 2017.
