Testing Cycles: The 90 day study period for the PD Lieutenant Promotional will conclude in late May, so the commissioners set a tentative date of June 8th for the oral interviews and written testing. Carol will contact Commissioner Mayall to confirm the date.
New Business : Brief discussion about the procedure of making temporary appointments to a higher rank. In the past, temporary appointments made through the Commission were mostly of the type that named a non-City employee to fill a position, but some were made of this type, moving a current employee to a higher rank to fill a vacancy. The commission concurred that higher-rank appointments can be made without formal approval from the commission if they are emailed of the appointment in advance. This will provide proper notice, but not delay an appointment by having to wait on the next commission meeting.
Having no other business, a Motion was made by Commissioner Norton seconded by Commissioner Gossett to adjourn the meeting. All Ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 1:12 p.m.
