Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Peoria County?

There were 61 offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Peoria County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that 56 men and five women were released in Peoria County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 35. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017, and the oldest was a 63-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Steven F. Denny. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2002 when he was 32 years old. He is now 49.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Peoria County municipality.
