2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 61611?

There were 32 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 61611, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that 25 men and seven women were released in the East Peoria zip code. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age was 37. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2016, and the oldest was a 57-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Benjamin Smith. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2009, when he was 17 years old. He is now 27.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
