Illinois State Senate District 44 issued the following announcement on Aug. 8.
Recognizing his support to improve the state’s crumbling infrastructure, the Transportation for Illinois Coalition has presented Senate Republican Leader Bill Brady with its “Friend of Infrastructure” award.
In their recognition of Brady, the coalition noted that “With your support, citizens will travel more safely and will face fewer car repairs and fewer transit delays…thank you for your leadership.”
Brady, who supported the state’s infrastructure program this past spring, notes the importance of investing in Illinois’ roads and bridges.
“If we are going to grow our economy, and make Illinois an attractive location for businesses to operate, then we need to improve our aging roads and bridges,” said Brady. “I am proud to receive this award and I look forward to the work that will pave our state’s way to a brighter future.”
