CITY OF ATLANTA: City of Atlanta Announces Labor Day Solid Waste Collection Schedule

City of Atlanta issued the following announcement on Aug. 29.

The City of Atlanta Department of Public Works announced that in observance of Labor Day, there will be no residential garbage, yard waste, recyclables or bulk items collected on Monday, September 2, 2019. All curbside collection services will be delayed one day the remainder of the week. Customers whose regular collection day is Friday will receive solid waste collection services on Saturday, September 7, 2019.

The Department of Public Works has created the easy-to-use Waste Wizard, an online tool to assist City of Atlanta residential customers find their solid waste collection schedule, print calendars, set reminders and learn ways of properly recycling or disposing of waste items. The online portal may also be used to schedule bulk item collections. The Waste Wizard is available at www.atlanaga.gov/solidwaste.
