Forest City home prices rise in 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in 2018 in Forest City rose by $44,750 while total sales increased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2018, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $51,750 - a 639.3% increase over the $7,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were three homes sold in Forest City in 2017.

The median sales tax in Forest City for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,054, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for 2018.
