Illinois State House District 73 issued the following announcement on Sept. 23
In follow-up to the announcement sent this morning about Rep. Spain’s appointment as Republican Conference Chairman, Retired State Representative David Leitch (Rep. Spain’s predecessor in the Illinois House) provided a quote in reaction to this news about Rep. Spain’s appointment to House Republican Leadership.
“I am very proud of Representative Spain’s appointment to House Republican Leadership. I would not have retired if Ryan Spain were not available to succeed me in the Illinois House. This appointment by Leader Durkin confirms my sentiments about his leadership qualities,” State Representative David Leitch (ret.)
