Woodford County Offices Committee met Oct. 8.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order 2. Roll Call – Russ Cotton (Ch.), Chuck Nagel, Jason Spence all present. Emily Barker arrived at 4:03. Dan Steffen is unexcused.

3. Approval of Minutes

a. Approval of September 17, 2019 regular meeting minutes. Motion to approve September 17, 2019 minutes made by Nagel, seconded by Spence. Motion passed.

4. Public Input 

5. Appointments

a. Appointment of Donita Curtis to the Woodford County Housing Authority to

complete the unexpired 2 year term of Dennis Capretz expiring June 20, 2021. Motion to appoint Donita Curtis to the Woodford County Housing Authority to complete the unexpired 2 year term of Dennis Capretz expiring June 20, 2021 made by Nagel, seconded by Spence. Motion passed.

b. Reappointment of Stephen Bachman to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2022. Motion to reappoint Stephen Bachman to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2022 made by Barkers, seconded by Spence. Motion passed.

c. Reappointment of Steven Ulrich to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2022. Motion to reappoint Steven Ulrich to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2022 made by Nagel, seconded by Spence. Motion passed.

d. Appointment of Roger Ulrich to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2022 Motion to appoint Roger Ulrich to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2022 made by Spence, seconded by Barker. Motion passed.

e. Reappointment of Douglas Schertz to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2025. Motion to reappoint Douglas Schertz to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2025 made by Nagel, seconded by Spence. Motion passed.

f. Reappointment of Robert Garber to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2025. Motion to reappoint Robert Garber to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association for a 6 year term expiring March 1, 2025 made by Barker, seconded by Spence. Motion passed.

g. Appointment of Steven Garber to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association to complete the unexpired 6 year term of Don Unzicher expiring March 1, 2025. Motion to appoint Steven Garber to the Steward-Harmony Cemetery Association to complete the unexpired 6 year term of Don Unzicher expiring March 1, 2025 made by Nagel, seconded by Spence. Motion passed.

6. Approval of Claims

a. County Clerk Motion to approve October claims made by Spence, seconded by Barker. Motion passed.

b. County Board Per Diem - Roll Call Vote Claims were presented for Blake Parsons and Bryant Kempf. Motion to pay per diem claims made by Nagel, seconded by Spence. Roll call vote -Cotton-yes; Barker-yes; Nagel-yes; Spence-yes. Motion passed.

7. Unfinished Business

a. Unpaid sick time (SA Minger) A retired employee has submitted a claim to be paid for 852.75 hours of unused sick time at $14.50 per hour. This time was collected from 1986-2008. The PTO time was converted over to IMRF credit. When they first started there was no union, and our current policy states we do not have to pay. Mr, Minger will do some research on the matter and would like to get the full boards input. Motion to place this issue on the full board agenda under executive session made by Spence, seconded by Barker. Motion passed. Discussion on how to handle paying sick time. Committee sees that this could be an issue in the future.

b. Codification (SA Minger) Mr. Minger is still working on this. The county will have to renumber all Ordinances. This will be placed on next months agenda.

10. Other County Offices will need to hold a special meeting before the board meeting on Tuesday to approve nine (9) deed of conveyances so they can go before the County Board. Decision to meet at 6:25 to handle this.
