Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Montgomery County?

There were 12 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Montgomery County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that nine men and three women were released in Montgomery County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 32. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime against justice in 2017, and the oldest was a 46-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Richard D. Wilhelm. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2013 when he was 23 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Montgomery County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
