City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on March 28.
The Illinois Department of Transportation has closed River Road between Camp and Washington streets to traffic turning off eastbound Washington (Bob Michel Bridge) and to traffic turning left off Camp toward Washington. This will remain closed for the duration of the Murray Baker Bridge project, until approximately the end of October. IDOT plans road improvements there including a dedicated left turn lane from River Road onto Camp Street.
