CITY OF EAST PEORIA: Small EP Businesses Can Apply For Stabilization Program Grant

City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on April 11.

Time sensitive! Distressed small businesses in Tazewell County (other than those inside the City of Pekin) are eligible to apply for the Downstate Business Stabilization Program, and application are due by 5 p.m. Monday, April 13.

This program, offered by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, offers grants of up to $25,000 to cover the cost of 60 days of working capital to businesses economically impacted by the COVID-19 virus.The program’s goal is to keep businesses open or assist closed businesses in reopening as soon as possible. Businesses must have been in operation with the same ownership since at least Jan. 1, 2017.
