Q1 2019 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 61571 convicted of property crimes

There were two offenders convicted of property crimes released on parole near Illinois zip code 61571 during the first quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Peoria Standard.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in 61571. The younger parolee was a 22-year-old woman sentenced in 2017. The other was a 39-year-old man sentenced in 2015.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Courtney Schofield. She was convicted of a property crime in 2017 when she was 20 years old. She is now 22.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
