Analysis: East Peoria pays $4.35 for every $1 pensioners contribute to East Peoria Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.3 percent of the $2,228,245 the East Peoria Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.35 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, East Peoria contributed $1,811,005 to the fund, which saw a $385,661 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $416,303, or 18.7 percent, in 2018. Another $937 came from other unspecified sources.
