City of Mason City Council met June 24.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Call to order by Mayor Bruce Lowe at approximately 7:00 P.M.

Council members physically present were Gerald Mahin, Jim Miller, Danny Mason and Scott Francis. Mayor Bruce Lowe and Superintendent Wayne Dixon were also physically present. Via Zoom were Treasurer Mike Griffin, Alderpersons Julie Mize, Kevin Snyder, and Scott Francis, Mayor Lowe and Clerk Whitehead.

The minutes of the June 8th, 2020 and May Treasurer’s report were approved.

There was brief discussion regarding pool ordinances.

Supt. Dixon explained the need for the line extention from Menard electric for the CSO project. The line is not loan funded and will cost approximately #22,000.

R20-43 Alderman Mason moved, seconded by Alderman Miller to approve the minutes of the June 8th, 2020 regular council meeting and the Treasurer’s report.

Ayes: Mize, Snyder, Miller, Francis, Mahin, and Mason

R20-46 Alderman Miller moved, seconded by Alderman Snyder to approve continuing on with the generator service contract.

R20-47 Alderman Mason moved, seconded by Alderman Miller to approve the payment of approximately $22,000 to Menard electric for a line extention needed for the CSO project , this expense is not loan funded.
