Tremont Fire Protection District responded to 35 calls in 2018 - 2.8 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Tremont included 24 fires - eight structure fires, three vehicle fires and 13 other fires.

In all, the department saw $38,000 in fire loss - or about $1,583 per fire.

The department also received 11 false calls.

The Tremont Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $384,514 in 2017.
