Peoria Heights Fire District responded to 64 calls in 2018 - 64.1 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Peoria Heights included 26 fires - 16 structure fires, one vehicle fire and nine other fires.

In all, the department saw $126,000 in fire loss - or about $4,846 per fire.

The department also received 38 false calls, including eight malicious calls and 30 other false calls.

One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents and one was injured in non fire-related incidents.
