Cuba Fire Protection District responded to 44 calls in 2018 - 17 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Cuba included 36 fires - 17 structure fires, four vehicle fires and 15 other fires.

In all, the department saw $86,300 in fire loss - or about $2,397 per fire.

The department also received eight false calls.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.

The Cuba Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $169,989 in 2018.
