City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
Remember, Saturday, Nov. 7 is the Veterans Parade! The parade, sponsored by VFW Post 2078, starts at 1:30 p.m. The parade will start at the intersection of West Washington and Columbia streets, and travel along West Washington, going through the roundabout, and then right onto Clock Tower Drive, and then turn left onto Richland Street. It will end at Fondulac District Library, 400 Richland Street.
The parade route will be closed to traffic at approximately 1:15 p.m. Costco customers will need to enter and exit the parking lot using the Center Street entrance during the parade. They can take Center Street to Chicago Street, then to Edmund Street and then to the Cedar Street ramps to exit the downtown area.
