Canton City issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.
The City of Canton wishes to express our most sincere condolences to the family of former Water Superintendent Ray McKinney. Mr. McKinney was instrumental in the development of Lake Canton’s recreational usage, as well as modifications to Canton’s water treatment plant. Mr. McKinney was a very conscientious and dedicated employee of the City of Canton, and his contributions will always be remembered.
