City of Delavan issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.
WHAT. Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of
around 1 inch.with as much as 2 inches northwest of the
Illinois River near Galesburg. Total ice accumulations of up to
one tenth of an inch.
* WHERE.Portions of central and west central Illinois.
* WHEN.From noon Tuesday to 4 AM CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS.Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Tuesday evening commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.
Slow down and use caution while traveling.
