CITY OF ATLANTA: Announces Change in MLK Day Solid Waste Collection Schedule

City of Atlanta issued the following announcement on Jan. 15.

The City of Atlanta announced the Department of Public Works (DPW) Office of Solid Waste Services will be closed in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 18, 2021. There will be no collection of residential solid waste services, including garbage, recycling, yard trimmings, or bulk collections. The schedule has been revised to include a one-day delay throughout the holiday week, beginning with services scheduled on Monday. Customers whose regular collection day is Friday, January 22 will receive collection services on Saturday, January 23.

Those in need of additional assistance can contact the City by dialing 3-1-1 (inside Atlanta City limits) or 404-546-0311. They may also visit www.atlantaga.gov/solidwaste.
