City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Apr. 15.
A sign that spring has arrived is the East Peoria Beautification Commission's Flower Sale, set for 9 a.m. until noon, or earlier if sold out, Saturday, May 1. Twenty types of flowering plants as well as some vegetable plants will be available.
Purchase flowering plants and vegetable plants at the Beautification Commission's Flower Sale. This event is open to East Peoria residents only, as well as Sunnyland residents who live within the East Peoria city limit. Identification is required.
