City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on May. 7.
The U.S. Small Business Administration is accepting applications starting today for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. RFF is a $28.6 billion federal program created by the American Rescue Plan that will assist eating and drinking establishments, such as bars, restaurants, food truck operators and caterers, by replacing lost revenue in 2020. The online application will remain open to any eligible establishment until all funds are exhausted.
All eligible businesses may submit applications. However, for the first 21 days the program is open the SBA will prioritize reviewing applications from small businesses owned by women, veterans and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Applications submitted by other types of businesses during this period will not be reviewed until later in May.
