City of Eureka City Council Met Aug. 2.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
The Eureka City Council convened in regular session at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Eric Lind called the meeting to order and after a moment of silence led The Pledge of Allegiance and then directed the City Clerk to call the roll. Present were Aldermen Chambliss, Germann, Klaus, Peterson, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson. Alderman Logan was absent. Also in attendance were Lynn Hinnen, Treasurer, and Deputy Chief Kim Jones
Moved by L. Klaus, second by Peterson, to approve the minutes of the July 19, 2021, regular meeting of the City Council. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen L. Klaus, Peterson, Chambliss, Germann, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson all voting Aye.
There were no committee meetings held in the month of July.
The Mayor asked for public comments on any action to be taken on Agenda items. There were none.
Moved by Chambliss, second by Wilson, to approve and pay the bills as the City’s obligation in the amount of $53,860.99. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Chambliss, Wilson, Germann, L. Klaus, Peterson, Teegarden and Williams all voting Aye
Committee Reports:
Chairman Chambliss of the Budget Committee: No report.
Chairman Chambliss of the Administration and Personnel Committee: No report. Chairman Teegarden of the Enterprise Committee: No report.
Chairman Peterson of the Maintenance Committee: No report.
Chairman L. Klaus of the Public Safety Committee: No report.
Chairman Germann of the Park and Recreation Committee: The Ledgestone Disc Golf Tournament starts the end of this week at Lake Eureka. People are at the Lake practicing now.
October 2 there will be a meeting for discussion on the prairie grass timeline and cost. The project will start in 2022.
Chairman Teegarden of the Economic Development Committee: No report.
Chairman Mayor Lind of the Liquor Committee: No report.

There being no further business to come before the Council the meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
