Illinois Central College issued the following announcement on Oct. 6
The Illinois Central College Educational Foundation will host their Community Celebration event virtually on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 6 pm. Community Celebration is the Foundation’s annual event celebrating ICC scholarship recipients and honoring those who invest in the community’s future.
ICC Educational Foundation Executive Director Stephanie Holmes said, “We are more than excited for this year’s Community Celebration as we recognize the accomplishments of incredible alumni, current scholarship recipients, and our community partners. This year’s theme, ‘Building Your Future,’ celebrates students who have overcome the challenges of the past 19 months as they continue building their future at ICC.”
During the event, the College will present the Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Alumnus of the Last Decade Award. These annual awards recognize ICC alumni who have achieved outstanding success in their chosen field while providing humanitarian services beneficial to society and continually demonstrate support for higher education and Illinois Central College.
The mission of the ICC Educational Foundation is to assure access to higher education for the community. Gifts to the Foundation support scholarships, technology, and programs to advance the quality and accessibility of the institution, and its ability to respond quickly to emerging priorities.
