Report: Washington School District spent $13,395 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Washington Community High School District 308 was down 3.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Tazewell County school district spent $13,834 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,395 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,229 to 1,358 students over the same period.

Washington's spending in 2019-20 was 7.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
