Report: Deer Creek MacKinaw School District spent $10,735 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Deer Creek MacKinaw Community Unit School District 701 was up 13 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Tazewell County school district spent $9,502 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,735 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,082 to 1,031 students over the same period.

Deer Creek MacKinaw's spending in 2019-20 was 25.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
