Village of Bradford Committee met Oct. 27.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The meeting was opened at 7:00 p.m. Those in attendance were President John Cler, Trustees Bob Boehm, Angie Courtway, Wendy Moodie, Katie Price and Steve Scott, Treasurer Julie Gage and Clerk Diana Cobb.

Finances, Insurance, License & Fees – Boehm, Courtway, Gage

Bob Boehm presented information regarding IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) for Village Employees. Currently the Village gives a percentage of full time employee’s annual salary yearly as an incentive bonus for the employee to put into a retirement plan of their choice.

There is a cost study and application fee. This will be brought to the full board for approval at the November Board meeting. Diana Cobb reported that the Village has received a Certificate stating that the Village has 676 inhabitants according to the 2020 Decennial Census.

Police, Emergency Plan, Ordinances – Cler, Boehm, Scott

The Nuisance Ordinance will be the next Ordinance to be updated.

TIF, Grants – Cler, Moodie, Courtway, Price

Nothing to discuss.

Public Works (Streets, Alley’s, Sidewalks, Water & Sewer) – Cler, Boehm, Scott Nothing to discuss.

Community Improvement & Events – Moodie, Courtway, Price

The Bradford Betterment Committee is planning an “Old Fashion Christmas” to be held Saturday, December 4th from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The BBC is asking for the Village to sponsor an activity or make a monetary donation. Since the Village will no longer be sponsoring the Labor Day Weekend Car Show it was discussed to close the festivals account. This will be brought to the full board for approval at the November Board Meeting.

Cemetery, Parks, Buildings, Swimming Pool – Carlton, Moodie, Price

Cindy Wall made a commitment to rent the building the Village owns for a bakery. Possession is to take place November 1st. A contract will need to be signed along with 1st months’ rent of $500.00 and a deposit $500.00.

Personnel Committee – Cler, Carlton, Boehm

Nothing to discuss

With no further discussion, the meeting ended at 8:53 p.m.
