Time is running out to vote for “Americas Best Looking Cruiser," a contest that lets law enforcement agencies get their vehicles pictured in a calendar, and state Sen. Jason Barickman is trying to drum up support for the Illinois State Police.
The contest runs through Thursday, with the top 13 states to be featured in the 2023 American Association of State Troopers (AAST) calendar.
In a recent Facebook post, Barickman encouraged constituents to vote for the Illinois State Police.
“Help the Illinois State Police win 'Americas Best Looking Cruiser!'” the post said. “The 9th Annual AAST ‘Americas Best Looking Cruiser’ calendar contest is underway!”
The AAST, its website says, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uniting and assisting state troopers across the country. It is known for offering a scholarship program, with partial funding coming from the calendar sales.

Barickman has been serving in the state Senate since 2012.
