Peoria County Board Joint Commission on Racial Justice and Equity Justice Sub-Committee met Aug. 23.

• June 21, 2022, meeting minutes.
3. Informational Items and Reports
• Update from Steering Committee Co-Chair Mary Peterson.
• Reports and next steps from sub-teams:
o Causes of Violence.
o Bail and Incarceration.
o Juvenile Justice.
4. Discussion
• Working with other subcommittees.
• Round the room – what is happening in the community, which could be of interest to other members.
5. Recommendations to the Steering Committee
• Specific recommendations the Subcommittee might make to the Steering Committee (requires a motion, second, and simple majority vote of the members present)
6. New Business
• List in bullet format that the Subcommittee knowingly intends to discuss or is requesting information on for a future meeting.
