The Braves and Redbirds met for the second time this year at CEFCU Arena in Normal as Bradley looked to even the series and get its first conference win.
The Braves shot below average for the night. The team shot 31.7% from the floor, 21.1% from three and 71.4% from the free throw line. Alex Rouse led the Braves tonight with 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and one block. Daija Powell had 10 points, six rebounds and two steals, while Caroline Waite had eight points, one rebound and one assist. Off the bench, Reagan Barkema chipped in 7 points and two rebounds.
Illinois State came out of the gate sprinting, going on long runs where the Braves found little scoring chances. Mary Crompton went 5-of-7 from three, finishing the game with 17 points, one rebound and two assists. The Redbirds other key player, Paige Robinson, had 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks. DeAnna Wilson finished with a double-double, scoring 13 and grabbing 10 rebounds.
