Q2 2022 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Peoria County?

There were 75 offenders living in Peoria County released on parole during the second quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows 69 men and six women were released in Peoria County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 36. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2021, and the oldest was a 69-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 1983.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Johnnie Johnson. He was convicted of a property crime in 1983 when he was 29 years old. He is now 69.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2022 in each Peoria County.
