A committeeperson, chairman, and candidate training session will be held in East Peoria on Saturday, July 29. The session will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Illinois Central College in the Academic Building, Room 212-c at 1 College Drive in East Peoria.
“Sessions include legislative forums & guest speakers with vital information to unite the Republican Party for more red wins in '24!” the Republican County Chairmen’s Association (RCCA) and the Illinois Republican Party said in an announcement.
For questions or more information about the upcoming event, interested individuals can contact Jim Ayers at ayers@prairieinet.net. Similar to the other training sessions held across the state, the event is an informative session in which engaged Republicans can learn the ins and outs of political campaigns, prepare participants for success in the upcoming 2024 elections, and become empowered political changemakers.
“The RCCA is working with the local county parties to help unite & train future leadership,” the organization said on its website. “We have great regional vice presidents & volunteer leaders in order to better support & educate local parties in proper application of infrastructure & effective government training opportunities.”
Other training sessions will be held on Monday, July 24, in Dieterich; Saturday, Aug. 19, in Edwardsville; and Saturday, Sept. 16, in Springfield. A training session was previously conducted at Eagles Nest in West Frankfort on Saturday, June 24.
Rhonda Belford, RCCA president, made a statement on the website.
“It continues to be our hope that the RCCA take a leadership Role in the Structural 'grass-roots' organizing efforts that need to be established at the county level for more conservative candidates to be successful, able to implement policies that more readily reflect the values of those we represent,” she said in the statement.
The group offers a lengthy list of events for conservatives to get involved with in Illinois.
