On Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to celebrating and supporting local small businesses, Representative Weaver took the opportunity to recognize two outstanding establishments in Illinois. Good's Furniture in Kewanee and Steger's Furniture in Pekin and Peoria were both acknowledged for their contributions to their communities.

Good's Furniture, a family-operated destination furniture and mattress store, has been serving customers since 1895. The store boasts an impressive campus consisting of 12 historic, multilevel buildings spread across three city blocks. With an extensive selection of furniture options, Good's is a go-to destination for those in search of quality home furnishings.

Steger's Furniture, founded in 1937 by Joseph Steger in Pekin, has now been passed down to the fourth generation of the family. This establishment has expanded to include locations in both Pekin and Peoria. The Pekin store alone features a showroom spanning over 50,000 square feet. Additionally, Steger's Furniture is committed to giving back to the community, supporting over 100 local charities.

In expressing gratitude to these local small businesses, Representative Weaver emphasized the importance of shopping local and supporting small businesses. Their presence and dedication contribute significantly to the economic growth and overall well-being of their respective communities.

As Small Business Saturday approaches, it is essential to recognize and appreciate the hard work and contributions of these small businesses. By choosing to shop at establishments like Good's Furniture and Steger's Furniture, consumers can make a positive impact on their local economies and help ensure the continued success of these cherished establishments.

Supporting small businesses goes beyond a one-day event; it is an ongoing commitment that benefits everyone involved. As Representative Weaver aptly stated, "Thank you to our local small businesses for all you do. Please consider shopping local and support small businesses!" By heeding this call, individuals can help nurture thriving communities and foster a sense of local pride.
