Sidewalk removal and preparation work for new curb and gutter are underway at the intersections of SW Adams Street and Harrison Street, and SW Adams Street and Liberty Street as part of the ongoing Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way (OWTW) Conversion Project.

According to project updates, the sidewalks near 400 SW Adams and Harrison Street, and 300 SW Adams Street and Liberty Street are currently closed. Pedestrians are advised to exercise caution in these areas and use the next available intersection to cross the street.

In addition to the sidewalk closures, lane and parking restrictions are in place along SW Adams Street. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to on-street parking restrictions that are clearly marked. It is recommended to look for unbagged, available parking meters for on-street parking. Conversely, drivers should avoid parking at spots where meters are bagged with "No Parking" signs.

As the project progresses, more parking, lane, and sidewalk restrictions are expected to be implemented. This is part of the ongoing efforts to convert Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue from a one-way to a two-way street system.

Drivers are urged to be cautious of workers in the area and to be aware of designated no parking zones. Extra vigilance and care should be exercised by all individuals navigating through the construction zone to ensure safety for both workers and the public.
