The City of Peoria Department of Public Works has announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the Wisconsin Avenue Reconstruction Project. The event is scheduled for 11:30 am on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the intersection of N Wisconsin Avenue and E Arcadia Avenue.
This public event encourages attendees to park at Heartland Health Services located at 2321 N Wisconsin Ave.
The reconstruction project, which started in March 2024, covered the stretch from Nebraska Avenue to McClure Avenue. The $6.5 million initiative involved a full roadway reconstruction, installation of new sidewalks on the west side, and a multi-use path on the east side.
