Woodford County responsible for 25th-highest sales tax revenue in Illinois during November 2024

Woodford County taxpayers paid the 25th largest sum in sales taxes in November 2024, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Woodford County residents paid $775,666 in sales taxes during November 2024.

Woodford County ranked 21st in the Prairie State the month before, with $807,076 spent in sales taxes.

The County School Facility Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Woodford County residents in November 2024.

As of 2021, Illinois was the highest taxed state in the US. A study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes were 39.83% higher than the national average.
