Adjournment PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: The Village of Swansea encourages comments from the public. Each person wishing to speak must fill out the form declaring their name and the topic they wish to discuss. This form shall be turned in to the Clerk. Those wishing to address the Board during the Public Comment period, shall raise their hand and wait to be acknowledged by the Committee Chair. Each person speaking shall stand at the podium and clearly state their name. The following rules shall apply to any persons desiring to address public officials of the Village at any single meeting pursuant to the Open Meetings Act:
The individual public comment period shall not exceed ten (10) minutes; no individual shall speak for more than three (3) minutes; no individual representing a group shall speak for more than five (5) minutes. The Mayor shall determine the order of speakers and has the right to preserve order and decorum. The topics to be discussed must be germane to the meeting agenda of the public body or to business of the Village. Public officials are not required to respond to any remarks during the meeting. Any person who violates the rules or otherwise disrupts order or decorum may be removed.
